Child Care Director
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children.
- Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and therapists, to support children's development.
- Manage the budget and financial aspects of the child care center.
- Create schedules.
- Ensure that the facility is safe and well-stocked, including checking the safety of equipment, removing hazards, and ensuring the facility is always clean and orderly.
- Fill in when needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or child care setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
