Job Title: Certified Registered Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Status: Per Diem
Schedule: Days On-Call Required
A Per Diem employee is a worker who is employed on an on-call or as-needed basis, rather than having a fixed schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Per diem employees may fill in for regular staff who are absent or during peak demand periods. These employees are paid a daily rate or hourly wage and do not receive employee benefits. The ideal candidate for per diem status is those that are a full-time student or someone looking for work in addition to their full-time job.

Job Overview:
The Cardiovascular Technologist assumes the responsibility and accountability, under the direction of a physician for providing safe and competent care, both technically and clinically, in the diagnosis, treatment, and intervention of cardiovascular disease in accordance with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center policies, procedures, and philosophy.
General Responsibilities:
- Will provide leadership and work collaboratively with all healthcare team members within the cardiac cath lab and the facility as a whole.
- Will be willing to train Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, or X-Ray/CT Techs.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, customer service skills, and strong leadership are required.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Previous Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, or Invasive Vascular Lab experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS (obtained within one year if new grad of employment or first offering).
- RCIS / RCS / Radiology Tech or enrolled in an accredited program.
- Experience managing inventory is desired.
