Clinical Manager
Reports to: Clinical Director
WestBridge seeks a driven, passionate individual who is ready to take a step in his/her/their career to become a CIP Clinical Manager. The CIP Team members provide assistance to individuals to maximize their recovery, ensure consumer-directed goal setting, assist the individual served to gain hope and a sense of empowerment, and provide assistance in helping the individuals served become respected and valued members of their family and community. The CIP Clinical Manager works in conjunction with the Clinical Director to provide overall clinical leadership and responsibility for monitoring participant treatment, rehabilitation, and support services provided by the CIP team. This individual also supports the clinical supervision, education, and training of other team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and upholds the principles of Assertive Community Treatment as an Evidence-based Practice.
- Plans, implements, and manages staffing to ensure required level of service to participants, including:
- Monitoring participant level of service and treatment provision by the team in accordance with Participant Achievement Agenda.
- Assessing CIP team providers for their scope of practice based on experience, education, and observation of skill.
- Ensuring training and clinical supervision is provided within scope of practice.
- Collaborating with the Clinical Director for training needs.
- Collaborating with the Clinical Director to evaluate utilization and programming to meet financial requirements.
- Monitoring the team/staff adherence to clinical documentation standards.
- Participates in reviewing, adhering to, and upholding WestBridge policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with Administration to ensure program compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Allocates approximately 25% of his/her/their time to direct participant care.
- Clinical duties could include, but are not limited to intake, evaluation, assessment, side-by-side support, facilitation of groups, co-facilitation of Family Education and Support, and case management for individuals and their families.
- Clinical interventions are based on scope of practice as identified by WestBridge and individual licensing entities.
- Participates in the clinical on-call rotation and collaborates with the team to provide weekend and holiday coverage.
- Review clinical documentation when appropriate, including but not limited to discharge summaries, individual & group notes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Certification/License Credentials:
- Licensed masters-level clinician (LICSW, LCMHC, LMFT) with knowledge obtained in appropriate discipline from an accredited institution.
Functional Competencies:
- Strong desire to step into a leadership role with clinical supervision of the team, preferably having already worked on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team or an equivalent team.
- Approval by the Board of Mental Health and/or Drug & Alcohol Counselling to provide supervision for licensure candidates in respective field is highly desired.
- Knowledge of and at least 3–5 years of experience in the treatment of men experiencing co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Skill and experience in delivery of Evidenced-based Practices.
- Knowledge and application of a gender specific, trauma informed model of care.
- Skilled in group & individual counselling. Ideal candidate will also have experience in family counselling.
- Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing confidentiality (42CFR/HIPAA).
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal program administration regulations.
- Knowledge and experience in the treatment of co-occurring mental illness and substance-use population.
- Understands and applies models of stages of change, therapeutic community, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, Internet access, word processing, report writing, and spreadsheet applications necessary to generate appropriate reports.
Leadership and Management:
- Participates in organizational committees & meetings.
- Facilitates team/staff meetings to encourage transparency amongst the inter-disciplinary team, and provides clinical direction, as appropriate.
- Works collaboratively with other members of residential, care management, leadership, and administrative staff to meet the customer service and clinical needs of participants and their families.
- Responds to emerging clinical and customer service needs in a prompt and professional manner.
- Demonstrates a high standard of professional conduct and ethical behavior that will enhance the quality of care and encourage positive interactions among staff.
- Brings a passion for building and developing effective teams and relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
