Non-Profit Health System to assist in the recruitment of a
System-wide Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist for a
Multi-Campus position. They are headlined by a Level II Trauma Center that serves as a tertiary referral center for 15 counties and the largest Hospital in the region. This position will work collaboratively with the entire Acute Care leadership team, reporting to the System's Director of Advanced Practice Nursing.
Acute Care CNS Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Clinical Practice Expert in the delivery of evidence-based nursing.
- Translates theory and evidence to advance the health and knowledge of the patient/family, nurses/practice, and the organization/system.
- Provides leadership and clinical expertise in the management of complex patient issues.
- Partners with leadership to develop and evaluate the delivery of nursing practice.
- Provides leadership and expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative individual and/or population-based programs of care to achieve desired quality outcomes.
- Establishes and monitors care standards and facilitates change(s) in areas of clinical practice based on data analyses.

CNS Clinical Nurse Specialist Requirements:
- Masters in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS-BC, ACCNS-BC, etc).
- Ability to obtain an RN License in the State.
- Ability to obtain a CNS license in the State.
- Two (2) years of Clinical Nurse Specialist experience is preferred, but new grad CNS' will be considered.
- Three (3) years of clinical / bedside nursing experience required, preferably in an acute care area.
