This Position
We currently have an opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Account Director to join our VikingCloud Sales Team. This role provides the right candidate the ability to join our team as a trusted adviser with a relentless focus on bringing value to our customers within our Level 4 business. You will be responsible for building strategic customer relationships, own all client engagements and seek any further areas of growth. You will be a self-starter with a strategic approach to selling and strive to always exceed revenue goals. You will be dedicated to your clients with their best interests in mind and act as their internal advocate to ensure they are set up for success.
Responsibilities
- Act as lead point of contact for Level 4 VIP/SIP Clients & strategically own the overall partner relationship to ensure client satisfaction & enable growth.
- Manage and deliver key communications to the highest commercial and ethical standards on behalf of VikingCloud.
- Act as lead for all non-BAU client engagements such as new product launches/upgrades, product roadmaps, reporting insights, QBRs, etc. & conduct regular 1:1 meetings with key client stakeholders.
- Obtain a detailed understanding of client relationship as it relates to commercial arrangements, product offerings, GTM, existing & potential portfolios, & maintain that understanding as programs grow & evolve.
- Provide detailed and accurate program data for the purpose of forecasting and account planning.
- Upsell/cross sell new products and services.
- Ability to lead RFP/proposal processes, pricing exercises, and coordinate contract activities.
- Monitor market - customer and competition, to inform product strategy and build insights into the selling agenda.
- Advocate for client needs/requests internally and be able to articulate how those needs/requests facilitate retention and growth of the account.
- Own and lead responses to any client escalations: Managing escalations internally to senior leadership or cross functionally as required.
- Support growth of clients both organically & through new products & services.
- Plan, forecast, and support account renewals within client base.
- Utilize CRM and or other systems and tools as necessary to provide the business with data led reporting.
- Manage wider stakeholder involvement internally as required (Legal, Operations Contact Centre, PMO, HR etc.).
- Ensure management is updated on strategic status of accounts in terms of problems, plans, opportunities and objectives.
- Attend industry and client events as any when required, representing the company to highest standard and always with the utmost responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience
- You will have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a key client relationship role in a similar sector.
- You will be strategically & commercially minded.
- You will have a strong understanding of clients’ needs.
- You will be an exceptionally strong communicator and highly organized.
- You will be a great team player, nurturing and motivational and comfortable in delegating and directing people cross functionally.
- You will have experience in developing, issuing and translating client reports.
- You will be proactive in developing new initiatives and campaigns, and will be thoroughly comfortable and professional in championing clients’ requirements, creating presentations, commercial calculations, and ensuring key project milestones and client objectives are achieved.
- You will be available to travel domestically & internationally as needed.
