About this Role
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the financial planning and analysis functions for the organization. This individual will be responsible for providing insights into business performance, developing strategic financial plans, and overseeing the budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, this role requires hands-on experience with M&A, including financial due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and execution. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence business decisions, and drive the company’s financial strategy. Strong experience in FP&A and M&A within a fast-paced environment is critical.
What You'll Do
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasting, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial objectives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and business decision-making.
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting on business performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders across departments to provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and industry trends to ensure financial health and alignment with the company's goals.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership as required.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
- Lead and support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, valuation, and risk assessment of potential acquisitions, divestitures, or joint ventures.
- Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate the financial impact of potential transactions.
- Collaborate with the executive team to assess strategic fit and financial benefits of M&A opportunities.
- Manage post-acquisition integration efforts, including financial reporting, consolidation, and alignment of budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations that drive strategy and execution.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as accounting, treasury, legal, and operations to align financial strategies and execution.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a strong background in M&A (mergers & acquisitions).
- Proven experience leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for a complex, multi-entity organization.
- Hands-on experience in M&A due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition integration.
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, and investment analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial reporting software.
