Title: Title IX & Inclusion Administrator III
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of educational programs focusing on Title IX, diversity, non-discrimination, and harassment.
- Serves as the Title IX and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, DHR (Discrimination, Harassment, & Retaliation) Administrator, and Clery Director.
- Acts as the University's Compliance Officer for Title VII, California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), ADA Sections 504 and 508, California Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), California Whistle Blower Act, and applicable CSU Executive Orders.
- Develops and files the annual Affirmative Action (AA) plan with the Chancellor's Office.
- Coordinates and presents campus-wide Title IX, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), AA, and diversity initiatives training programs.
- Serves as a resource to assist in understanding EEO, AA, and Whistle Blower plans and programs.
- Ensures CI management are trained in compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Leads efforts to educate and prevent DHR, gender-based harassment, and discrimination.
- Conducts intake meetings, oversees investigations of reported Title IX and DHR complaints, and writes investigative reports.
- Oversees the work of Deputy Title IX Coordinators and provides training and support.
- Collaborates with university divisions on policies and practices to promote diversity and equity.
- Prepares reports and responds to inquiries from regulatory agencies.
- Directs Clery Act reporting and compliance requirements.
- Performs additional related duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements of Position:
- Master's degree or juris doctorate required; extensive experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4-7 years working within Title IX/equal employment opportunity/affirmative action programs.
- Knowledge of principles, laws, and regulations related to Title IX, EEO, AA, and non-discrimination.
- Effective counseling, administrative, analytical, research, and investigative skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience conducting investigations and mediating disputes.
- Ability to prepare official compliance reports and conduct related trainings.
- Experience in a unionized environment is ideal.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
Hiring Range: $11,500 - $12,084 per month
