Job Summary
Responsible for the overall vision and direction of the Sales Engineering department. Acts as a technical resource in support of the various engineering families. Creates business standards, goals, strategies, and objectives (within assigned areas) that are competitive with industry standards and strives to arrive at those goals. Creates annual and quarterly budgets. Develops and leads a team of dynamic engineering staff. Develops strategic partnerships and relationships with external entities in attempt to realize the Engineering vision for Company.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Creates quarterly and annual budget and manages all expenditures and capital projects associated with the Engineering department.
- Directs and participates in planning activities related to the preparation of capital and operating budgets and forecasts of operations.
- Works with business and technical executives and senior management across the organization to determine the Engineering technical vision and develops actionable strategies to realize that vision. Acts as an advocate for the Engineering department's technical vision. Effectively communicates department strategies and objectives within the department and across the organization.
- Develops and maintains standards, procedures and work processes for the department that are competitive with industry standards. Stays knowledgeable of competition and important emerging technologies and standards.
- Develops dynamic staff, ensuring competence and continuity of qualified staff through optimum selection, development, appraisal, and motivation techniques in accordance with the system EEO policy and appropriate policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, vendors, etc. to leverage partnerships and relationships to continue to realize and maintain a strong technical vision for MEMBERS ONLY.
- Motivates and mentors' staff and related teams to achieve goals and standards.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
