We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager/Coordinator to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
Seeking highly motivated, experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Jr. IT Project Manager/Coordinator – support includes supporting large scale Federal .GOV citizen-centric public websites.
Responsibilities:
- Provides project management support to multiple medium-sized projects or at least one complex project that requires high levels of functional integration and some organizational change management.
- Supports all aspects of the project execution including chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control, risk management and reporting.
- Facilitates resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control.
- Ensures consistent application of all standard project management methodology processes, tools and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contributes to own team/closely related teams through quality and accuracy of own output.
- Builds productive internal relationships.
- Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow.
- Conveys information in a concise and professional manner.
- Asks effective questions and solicits feedback to understand needs.
- Anticipates future needs based on past transactions.
- Strong understanding of IT project management principles and techniques.
- Demonstrates solid proficiency in the specific tools that are available and required as part of the company's project management information system.
- Solid ability to identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans.
- Solid ability to ensure that effective project controls are in place to monitor project or program performance.
- Solid capability at providing effective performance reporting for the client and company in order to monitor the progress of the project.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Project Management-Agile Methodology: 3 to 5 years exp.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
