Job Purpose: Performs financial and budgetary activities of the firm, including preparation of financial variance reports, acquisition target analysis (M&A), budgets and forecasts, and summary presentations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Completes annual budget files and forecast updates.
- Generates timely financial variance reports and KPI information, including monthly P&L reviews, weekly payroll reports, and other ad hoc data analysis.
- Maintains compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations, company and local policies and procedures.
- Analyzes operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized, or eliminated.
- Confers with CFO and Director of Finance to coordinate and prioritize planning and provides relevant fiscal information.
- Supports the Director of M&A with diligence analysis and summary presentations.
- Communicates regularly with Contract Managers and other Region managers to share KPI reports and offer financial direction.
- KPI/PI review and creation and implementation.
- Review weekly payroll including variance to budgets.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly and annual forecasts.
- Supports Company personnel on ad hoc excel requests.
- Involved in bid reviews, including RFP and bid analysis.
- Assembles various strategic presentations including board reports, acquisition target summaries, and other company updates.
- Other projects as assigned.
Minimum Education & Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or finance, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward fellow employees and customers.
- Dress in a professional and appropriate manner for a business environment.
- Perform all job functions in the safest manner adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal & State laws.
- Execute all job duties while following company policy and procedure.
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills including comfort with complex formulas.
- Proficient computer skills including other Microsoft Office products, database and accounting computer application systems (ERPs, CRMs, operational systems).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical and managerial skills, with a strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Ability to use or learn to use internet, additional programs as required and office equipment, including phones or other electronic devices.

This job operates in an office environment as well as a transportation terminal facility environment. In addition to various operating systems, electronic & transportation equipment, motorized equipment, and machinery, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
