What’s the position?
As the Director of Financial Systems, you will be reporting to the VP – Finance Operations and will oversee the Sr. Financial Systems Administrators, supporting and working closely with our teams in the US and Europe, to ensure accurate financial reporting by developing and ensuring necessary controls over finance systems, assisting with report building, and testing.
Key responsibilities:
- Finance Systems Internal Control Development: Create, maintain, and audit a comprehensive system of internal controls in alignment with organizational objectives. Conduct thorough system walkthroughs with external auditors to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead projects on the design, implementation, and optimization of financial systems that support the company's growth and product development initiatives.
- Development & Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product & technology, and finance, to define system requirements, oversee the development of financial software, and ensure rigorous testing protocols are established and followed.
- Accuracy & Compliance: Test and review financial reporting systems and data to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with company policies. Implement corrective actions as necessary to address discrepancies.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Utilize project management tools to track progress and manage resources effectively.
- Team Development: Mentor and lead a team of Sr. Systems Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for financial systems related inquiries from internal stakeholders. Collaborate with external partners to ensure system integration and efficiency.
- Automation Support: Support initiatives aimed at automating controls to ensure effective compliance across business operations.
- Systems Management: Provide Finance with support in NetSuite, and integrations with Blackline, HiBob, Kyriba, and Navan. Assist with regression testing and review of new products and launches to ensure reporting accuracy.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: Experience in the i-gaming or gaming sector. Proven track record of successfully leading system implementations and enhancements.
- Business Acumen: Previous experience in QA roles, Project Management, Finance Information Systems, SQL, Monday.com, and SharePoint.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Team Collaboration: A proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
- Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in all aspects of work.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with Excel skills. Flexibility: Willingness to adjust working hours to accommodate Eastern Time zone requirements. Some travel for in person meeting sessions as needed.
