Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Director, Business Development to manage the overall business development inquiries in the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sector. In this role, you will work closely with the product management teams and develop strategic approach, engage and influence the business direction of OEM clients, and create a joint partnership to penetrate the end customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client’s organization
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop proposals which resolve customer’s issues and concerns, as well as meeting client’s expectations and objectives
- Manage the complex and dynamic relationship with large technology partners to deliver innovative systems and solutions that have the potential to impact the technology landscape and accelerate revenue growth for both companies
- Lead cross-functional teams and resolve complex issues with high-level of ambiguities
- Develop Supermicro brand and presence in select verticals. Explore new business opportunities and promote Supermicro total solution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering related is preferred
- 17 years of experience in sales, business development, or (technical) marketing experience in the technology industry, preferably in server / solution / or datacenter
- Solid communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation; Superb negotiation skills with ability to influence clients and decision makers
- Strong leadership – ability to lead cross-functional teams in large corporate environment
- Proven record of successful engagement in tier 1 CSPs such as AWS and Google, prior experience working with tier 1 and/or tier 2 OEM customers is highly preferable
Salary Range
$255,000 - $268,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
