Profile: The VP, Advisory Services (Managing Director) will join a Practice team and utilize their deep subject matter expertise and understanding of business issues to help our clients optimize business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recognized subject matter expert and thought leader responsible for maintaining and growing Avalere's public reputation.
- Leads a significant line of business.
- Develops and leads key client relationships.
- Identifies areas for growth and investment for the practice and the firm.
- Manages a portfolio of clients to ensure that the breadth of Avalere's knowledge and expertise are available to meet client needs.
- Delivers public presentations/participates in public forums to grow company reputation.
- Contributes to practice goal achievement around sales, revenue and project management.
- Creates and executes on business development plans.
- Contributes high-level SME to select engagements.
- Collaborates with clients to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans.
- Leads Avalere as a member of Senior Leadership Team.
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures.
- Fulfill responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience within the healthcare industry is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience successfully leading teams to sales and revenue goal attainment.
- Deep expertise in identified subject matter area.
- Expert communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to executives within and outside of the firm.
- Proven situational leadership skills and the ability to motivate and generate enthusiasm with individuals across all levels of the organization.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills that translate into positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills with the ability to apply knowledge outside of one's immediate functional area.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Education: A graduate degree in epidemiology, public health, public administration, health economics, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time).
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions.
- Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
