Overview
This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with a strong background in U.S. government compliance requirements for commercial entities, particularly those associated with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and a desire to advance within the organization. The work of an Associate Director can include, for example, leading or participating in monitorships, audits, or client-facing advisory work. Seeking a self-starter with industry experience and the ability to generate new business.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects.
- Assemble project data into reports for clients and U.S. government agencies.
- Assist staff with the development of time, schedule, and cost analysis.
- Assist with preparation of expert reports including drafting, editing, and proofreading.
- Prepare report exhibits and graphics to support analysis as necessary.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations for industry seminars and marketing events.
- Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate.
- Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools and analytical methods to develop solutions. Prioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines.
- Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, and office functions such as staff training and recruiting.
- Participate in a team environment and meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in the area of national security, political science, international political economy, or a relevant field; MBA or Master’s degree from a reputable university preferred;
- Minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in related U.S. government agencies, and/or professional services/consulting environment;
- Previous experience in U.S. government compliance enforcement;
- Keen interest in national security, international political economy, and evolving U.S. government compliance programs and how related events and factors apply to clients;
- Excellent communication, managerial, and analytical skills, as well as leadership skills;
- Demonstrated ability to create strategic visions and implement strategies with a proven track record;
- Desire to work within a team environment;
- Demonstrated interest in generating business and becoming known in the marketplace as an Expert in their field.
Salary Range: $190,000 to $250,000 per year.
