The Team and Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead and develop the Safety Experience roadmap to:
- Foster healthy interactions among users and maintain a respectful community.
- Ensure our moderation user experiences are fair, transparent, and humane.
This role is part of our Integrity (Trust & Safety) team, working to make Tinder the safest place to meet new people.
Where you’ll work:
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration two days per week. This position is located in San Francisco, or Palo Alto, CA.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, influence, and take responsibility for the strategy, outcomes, and execution of the Safety Experience roadmap.
- Define the requirements, design, and delivery of user-facing features to improve member safety.
- Create wireframes, narratives, and other illustrations to convey feature ideas and gather feedback.
- Balance input from a wide variety of stakeholders with potentially competing ideas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, such as Marketing, Member Experience, Creative, Legal, Privacy, and X-Product teams, to increase user awareness of safe behaviors and access to safety resources.
- Advocate for fair and transparent user experiences within our moderation and new feature development.
- Gather insights from Consumer/UX Research and data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Engage with industry associations and non-profit organizations for expert advice.
You’ll need:
- Initiative and the ability to work independently, with 5+ years of experience in product design and management.
- Deep empathy and curiosity about user safety issues.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems with structured approaches.
- Experience delivering products from inception to launch by collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to advocating for the Tinder user’s safety experience.
- Exposure to Trust & Safety operations and User Generated Content (UGC) moderation practices.
- Experience launching consumer-facing features across platforms (iOS, Android, and Web).
- Strong analytical and design aptitude, with experience working with ML/AI teams to drive solutions.
- Effective communication skills, including strong listening, verbal, and written abilities.
