About the job
This position will define and deliver the IT strategy and operational capabilities across the company globally. The CIO will also be responsible for making data and information easily accessible throughout the organization, protecting proprietary company data, and achieving cost-effective IT operations.
This role will serve as a transformational IT leader, providing insights to the executive leadership on key technological advancements with relevance to its business, and ensuring that IT considerations remain at the forefront of key firm-wide deliberations. The CIO will lead short and long-term IT planning and oversee the execution of strategic projects for our multi-subsidiary portfolio with different business models and multiple IT systems.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Be forward thinking and guide long-range planning, recognizing the need for changes and adjustments as needed. This will be done while ensuring the successful execution of complex system projects and integration programs.
- Build strong and productive relationships with all business leaders, acting as a partner and making IT a business enabler.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that information technology provides our employees and clients with the best experience possible.

Required:
- Minimum of 12-15 years of work experience and leadership in the Technology industry
- 5 years of CIO leadership in high-tech companies, preferably with SaaS business models
- Experience successfully maturing startup IT environments to mature systems and processes.
- Experience in customer and market-facing interactions
- Strong change management skills
- Strong executive presence along with global experience
- Track record building, leading and mentoring high-performing IS/IT teams
- Significant experience working and leading cross-functionally in high growth organizations
- A relationship builder who inspires trust and confidence internally and externally
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively at C-level and to the Board of Directors
- Growth mindset, sense of curiosity and dedication to the team’s success
- Recent Experience with Marketing, Sales, Finance and IT tech stacks, M&A integration, Cloud and SAAS a plus
- Skilled at strategic planning and goal-setting
- Experienced at collaborating with senior leadership to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals

This role will be remote, we are open to locations in which Twilio has a presence.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
