Convenience is critical to ensure that most women have time to remain compliant with their breast care. By offering mammography and breast care within the patient's primary care or OB/GYN practice and scheduling appointments in coordination with an annual exam, compliance is easier to accomplish.
The Opportunity
This position is under the general direction of the practice physicians, off-site radiologist, Regional Director, and Area Manager. It will also work directly with Practice providers, their administrator, practice staff, and various members of the Onsite Women's Health organization as needed. This position will also interact with Radiologists and their staff, hospitals, and/or radiology imaging centers.

What do you need to be the right candidate for this role?
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of practical experience
- Very strong computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with electronic Medical Record systems (EMR) preferred
- Ability to perform responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision
- Must be able to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
What are your responsibilities?
Technical Responsibilities Specializes in the production of screening exams for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
- Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography/ultrasound service in the practice in which one works. Assist practice in all ways possible to be sure all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms and ultrasounds - this is particularly critical in the first 18 months of a new practice.
- Prepares patients for the mammographic/U/S procedure.
- Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Moves ultrasound equipment to specific positions and adjusts controls to ensure optimal scanning based on knowledge of the ultrasound system techniques and protocols.
- Follows prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
- Examines images for image quality.
- Ensures equipment is in proper working order at all times.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Processes routine paperwork and all required data entry.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Super user of practice's Electronic Health Record software.
- Maintains image movement and management to the offsite radiologist.
- Performs mammography tracking with the mammographer following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
- Responsible for a variety of coordinative and administrative support functions such as researching patient information, compiling data, preparing reports, obtaining prior patient images, and patient compliance.
- May have coverage responsibilities for multiple locations.
- Performs all other duties as may be assigned.
