Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple wet pipeline projects for our premier pipeline company based in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on the wet pipeline industry. This role involves direct communication with clients, managing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring the quality of project deliverables. This is a full-time, hybrid role offering a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients, coordinating and managing all project communications.
- Review project deliverables including drawings, calculations, specifications, and permit applications.
- Direct and plan project meetings, technical reviews, and progress updates with clients and internal teams.
- Develop scopes of work, including optimized suggestions for equipment, value-added engineering options, materials, labor, and project timelines.
- Oversee and coordinate project schedules, budgets, Gantt charts, and other key deliverables.
- Accurately forecast and complete take-offs for sewer, storm drain, and structures.
- Ensure proper resource allocation for wet utility projects, including team, materials, and time.
- Conduct cost estimation, forecasting, and financial analysis for ongoing projects.
- Understand large diameter storm drain constraints, crane requirements, and shoring techniques.
- Manage open cut construction, basic shoring methods, and street work through job site visits.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal/external teams.
- Communicate effectively with other trades and ensure that project specifications and district requirements are met.
- Draft and communicate bid revisions, change orders, and project updates to clients, project owners, and general contractors.
- Use Planswift for full take-offs, including assemblies.
- Lead and manage both wet and dry utility projects, with a strong understanding of prevailing wage projects and phases.
- Demonstrate strong time management and multitasking abilities, managing multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
- Lead, train, mentor, and develop the Project Management team, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management Team.
- Participate in or have completed an accredited leadership training program approved by the company.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in project management with an emphasis on wet pipeline industry projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Technical, or Construction preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to record-keeping and follow-up.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, adapting to the needs of the project.
- Proven ability to read and understand Civil Plans and manage complex project deliverables through jobsite visits.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to follow multi-step instructions.
- Must demonstrate good attendance and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid CA Driver’s License with a good driving record.
