Position Overview
Autodesk's Brand and Creative team is looking for a Chief of Staff who will report to the VP of Brand and Creative. You will be a key member of the Brand leadership team and will act as a key advisor and advocate, helping to define a multi-year brand roadmap and ensure that all cylinders are firing across the organization to make Autodesk a known and beloved brand worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Strategic Advisor. You understand our Autodesk vision, strategy and priorities, as well as the Brand and Creative strategy and related priorities. You love tackling a good challenge and view roadblocks as opportunities to improve. You have the toolset to analyze a situation, pull and study any associated information and data, and derive the root cause of challenges that impact our ability to execute. With that data, you're ready to synthesize what you've learned and transform that learning into recommended solutions you'll share with our leadership team and/or related stakeholders so we can make rapid decisions. You have a very high EQ and can navigate both the external and internal landscape of stakeholders, situations, programs and partners to drive progress. You are passionate about building brands, and believe in the power of brand to drive business. Bonus if you have a passion for creative.
- Manage our Strategic Programs. You are detail-oriented yet see the big picture and can connect people and projects to ensure our business results are met. Leveraging these skills, you will manage our annual planning lifecycle and the creation and distribution of all supporting assets, including presentations, detailed project plans and budgets.
- Act as chief integrator. You are known for your strong planning and follow-through and also for your active listening. As such, you will help lead and manage effective team meetings, including defining agendas, facilitating meetings, capturing minutes and action items, and following up, as needed. You are incredibly organized; a critical thinker that can help direct and glue together strategy, admin and operations for the team so that things are running like clockwork.
- Develop effective communications. You understand how to use communications to inspire, educate and spark the desired action. With these skills you will distill and distribute key messages to our extended team and collaborators across the company, including employee All Hands, Quarterly Business Reviews, and strategic check-ins. You will also moderate our Slack Channel and manage our Sharepoint site.
- Champion Employee Engagement. You are a keen observer who has a pulse on our employees' health. You love working with people and building a strong, trusting culture. As such, you will drive efforts across the team to improve team effectiveness and contribute to making Autodesk and this team a great place to work.
- Move the team forward. You know when to follow rules and when to break them. The Brand and Creative team is a small and nimble group within a much larger organization. We are not afraid to try new things, and we need someone who knows how to read the rules and how and when to break them to get things done.
