We have an exciting opportunity for a Planned Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A prison located in Greenwich, London.
HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse and Pharmacy.
Hours
Monday - Friday
0800 - 1600 or 0900 - 1700
37.5 hours per week
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £57750 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Planned Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. This role will lead our ‘Planned Care Team’ who are a bespoke multidisciplinary team delivering routine planned, follow-up and recovery care for patients. The Planned Care team will be the largest team in healthcare made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals ensuring our patients receive integrated and coordinated care. Your team and you will continue the care of men within the prison, taking over from the ‘Early Days in Custody team after the first 10 days of a patient’s journey.
- Developing innovative ways to encourage this large patient group to manage their conditions and support their recovery.
- Work with the Head of Healthcare and Deputy Head of Healthcare to develop processes and methods to treat, inform, and guide the patient group through their treatment, recovery, and long-term goals.
- Your team will be made up of dedicated public health, mental health, primary care, and substance misuse practitioners.

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development, with willingness to learn and self-develop.
- Significant post-registration experience and achievement in clinical primary care practice.
- Experience managing teams within regulated environments such as CQC.
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
