Objective:
As the Director of Licensing, you will be responsible for driving royalty revenue for brands (Perry Ellis, Original Penguin, Laundry, Gotcha, etc.) in the international and domestic market through strategic licensing partnerships and channel expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Growth Strategies:
- Analyze market opportunities and identify high-potential licensees and distributors.
- Negotiate and secure licensing agreements that maximize revenue and brand exposure.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Merchandising, Design, Marketing) to develop compelling licensed product lines.
- Implement marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue growth, market share, and brand positioning.
Manage and Optimize Existing Partnerships:
- Foster strong relationships with licensees and distributors to ensure alignment with brand strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities to increase profitability and market penetration.
- Oversee adherence to licensing agreements.
Brand Expertise and Compliance:
- Ensure licensed products meet the highest quality and design standards.
- Conduct regular brand audits to ensure consistent brand messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Partner with internal teams to develop and implement brand protection strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or brand licensing, with a proven track record of revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the fashion industry, market dynamics, and consumer trends.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
