Position Summary:
The Senior Hardware Engineering Manager, Imaging will be the hardware functional lead in the Imaging Product Development division supporting intraoperative imaging platform. This manager needs to be a strong leader to recruit, hire and develop a dynamic group of Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware Engineers. The position will guide the team working on both design efforts for products in the development and sustaining efforts with manufacturing and service for products in the field. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility, and professionalism.
Essential Functions:
- Recruits, hires and onboards new employees to fill positions as they arise to create a strong group of hardware engineers
- Trains and develops mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to further their career progression
- Drives projects and timelines by establishing project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering projects.
- Supports engineers on team responsible for designing and developing solutions for surgical imaging based on system requirement documents
- Leads technical working sessions and design reviews
- Supports manufacturing, testing, and external customers when presented with quality issues
- Maintains compliance with standards typical of the medical industry (IEC60601-1)
- Reviews and approves quality compliance activities for hardware efforts on Imaging products including complaints, CAPA, MDR, NCMR, and all relevant compliance activities
- Ensures sound scientific merit on all technologies developed
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in product development, including leadership experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience with Solidworks and/or Altium is a plus
- Familiar with standard industry concepts, practices, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with good time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
