Job Title: Vice President of Research and Development
Job Description:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the R&D strategy in alignment with the company’s long-term goals, focusing on innovation, quality, and market needs for personal care and skin care products.
- Product Development: Lead all phases of product formulation, from concept to launch, including research, prototyping, testing, and regulatory approval for OTC, SPF, and other topical skincare products.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with key clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide scientific expertise, and develop customized formulations that meet both client expectations and regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing R&D team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members to ensure growth and performance.
- Innovation Focus: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, scientific advancements, and market trends to continually introduce innovative product solutions. Identify and incorporate new ingredients and methodologies, such as adaptogens, CBD, and sustainable materials, into product lines.
- Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure that all formulations and products comply with FDA, OTC, and other regulatory standards. Work closely with Quality Assurance to meet stringent safety and quality standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to align product development with business strategies. Ensure that R&D projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and on time.
- Sustainability Leadership: Drive the company's sustainability agenda by introducing eco-friendly product formulations and packaging, reducing environmental impacts across all phases of production.

Job Type: This is a permanent position.
Work Site: This is a fully on-site position in Azusa, California. Primarily office-based with some lab work and client-facing meetings. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry conferences. Monday-Friday, 1st Shift, 6:00am-2:30pm. Some overtime and weekends as needed. Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes, no jewelry.
