Duties of this position include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Matheny's mission and strategic objectives.
- Overseeing all aspects of Matheny's information systems, IT infrastructure, clinical systems, cybersecurity, and technology operations.
- Leading the selection, implementation, and optimization of a new enterprise-wide Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Establishing and chairing a Technology Steering Committee to guide technology investments.
- Developing and managing annual and multi-year technology budgets.
- Leading the development and execution of a formal cybersecurity program.
- Establishing a data governance program to improve quality and accessibility.
- Directing the modernization of Matheny's technology infrastructure.
- Building and leading a high-performing IT organization.
- Collaborating with clinical and administrative leaders for technology-enabled innovation.
- Staying current on healthcare technology trends and evaluating emerging technologies.

Position Requirements:
Qualifications/Education:
Required: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred: MBA or healthcare-focused graduate degree.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years at a senior executive level in a healthcare organization.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale EMR implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Preferred certifications such as CHCIO (Certified Healthcare CIO) or CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems).
