The role supports capital planning functions with key responsibilities including forecasting and analyzing key regulatory capital metrics, assisting with assessing the current and future capital positions, and enhancing analytical tools and automation processes. The VP also supports creation of materials for recurring senior executive meetings, acts as a key liaison with partners across Finance disciplines, and provides analyses on implications of and responses to regulatory changes.
Responsibilities:
- Understand overall regulatory capital management framework and participate in Weekly Forecast Update process
- Perform Regulatory Capital related analyses in a fast-paced environment. It includes performance of insightful analytics that are repetitive, as well as various ad hoc management requests
- Execution and performance of analytics on various aspects of BAU capital forecasting and CCAR
- Keep track of market news and insights on Regulatory Capital related developments and peer information
- Assist and partner with technology functions to enhance processes and systems
- Lead projects to enhance Capital Forecasting & Analytics governance and controls including enhancing methodology development and documentation
- Partner with various departments across the Firm including FP&A and Liquidity etc. to deepen understanding of capital drivers and assist with the development of capital plan
- Work collaboratively with second line and third line of defense, and other independent review and challenge partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus
- 3-6+ years of relevant experience in Regulatory Capital Management, Regulatory Reporting, FP&A, Accounting, Risk or Treasury functions
- Familiarity with Regulatory Capital rules and stress testing (preferred), understanding of banking and financial products
- Analytical mindset with curiosity for knowledge in Regulatory Capital, Basel rules, Balance Sheet and Liquidity Management etc.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

- Superior writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to connect the dots and articulate technical topics in simple terms
- Strong ability to challenge status quo and improve manual processes through automations
