Nokia of America Corporation, Senior Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA.
SALARY RANGE: $191,611 - $282,573 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software features that are aligned with software requirement specifications defined by Nokia product marketing teams.
- Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
- Perform unit testing and debugging of software features developed on 5G and 4G gateways.
- Provide support for Nokia's 5G specific products to resolve any software issues.
- Analyze results of software tests and interact with test engineers, architects, project managers, and designers to identify software solutions.
- Create and maintain databases of known defects.
- Participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
- Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.
- Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field and 5 years of post-Bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:
- Programming languages, including C or C++.
- Design and development using Data Structures and Algorithms, and Systems Programming.
- Architecture, design, and coding of the functional modules for Wi-Fi, 4G EPC, or 5G Gateways.
- Developing networking protocols using GTP, GTPv2, ARP, or DHCP.
- Debug issues in code using debuggers in GDB or Valgrind.
- Software Version Control Systems, including GIT.
