Restore Hyper Wellness is seeking a qualified General Manager to lead its established health and wellness studio in South Portland, Maine.

A strong passion for fitness, wellness, and helping people live healthier lifestyles is essential to this position. In addition to overseeing studio operations, the General Manager plays an integral role in maintaining company culture and nurturing a welcoming, health-focused studio community.

Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Lead and motivate staff; leveraging individual strengths to maximize productivity and success.
- Enforce studio policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Oversee onsite onboarding and training of new employees. This includes completing new hire checklists and paperwork, all mandatory compliance, and specialized training.
- Ensure 100% completion of required ongoing training (monthly and annually)
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate promotions, goals, trends, and other relevant information.
- Oversee employee scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
- Verify payroll information and ensure staff commissions, bonuses, and tips are accounted for.
- Collaborate with the corporate team to ensure optimal staff performance and development.
Store/Studio Operations:
- Deliver an exceptional studio experience that engages and retains customers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all guests and staff.
- Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating and safety standards.
- Resolve customer service issues with timely and effective decisions.
- Complete daily reporting of appointments, revenue, and inbound/outbound calls.
- Report safety and medical incidents through formal in-store communication and to the corporate team.
Sales & Marketing:
- Lead the store team in service and product knowledge and motivate them to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals across all services to ensure clear expectations for staff and the success of overall store performance.
- Drive sales through membership, packages, and retail opportunities while adhering to sales success metrics.
- Manage the studio’s proven sales process and lead generation platforms, and work to exceed all sales while maintaining budgetary targets.
- Maintain and track active marketing efforts through events, B2B, word-of-mouth, and social media platforms.
- Manage local grassroots marketing and prospecting initiatives. Maintain a strong local presence and generate interest in store services via community partnerships and event participation.
- Manage or delegate social media channels to create compelling posts and communicate with guests and leads.
Key Qualifications:
- 4+ years of management experience, preferably in a retail fitness/health environment.
- Extensive experience in sales (B2B and consumer), sales processes, metrics, and developing/delivering action plans.
- Passionate about fitness, athletic achievement, and general health and wellness- professional experience preferred.
- Tech-savvy; able to learn complex equipment and systems to train others.
- Previous experience using point of sale, payroll, and scheduling systems/software.
- Previous experience managing employee schedules and payroll.
- Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills.
