Are you passionate about quality assurance, risk management, and health and safety? Aspire Community Support is seeking a dedicated Quality and Risk Lead to drive our commitment to excellence and ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Position Summary:
As the Quality and Risk Lead, you will develop, implement, and maintain integrated quality assurance and risk management strategies. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our services align with Ngā Paerewa (Health and Disability Services Standards) and other regulatory requirements. While you won’t have direct reports, your ability to influence and guide across the organization will be crucial in fostering a culture of compliance, quality, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Combine quality assurance, risk management, and health and safety into a unified strategy to streamline processes and eliminate risk.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure consistent application of quality standards, risk mitigation strategies, and safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and promote best practices to drive ongoing enhancement of our services.
- Audit Readiness: Prepare for and manage external audits, ensuring our operations meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Health and Safety Leadership: Oversee the development and implementation of health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to New Zealand's health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field; certifications such as Six Sigma or ISO preferred.
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (diploma or degree); HSW qualifications advantageous.
- Proven experience in quality, risk, and health and safety management, ideally within the health or disability services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and risk management frameworks, including Ngā Paerewa.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing risks.
- Ability to influence and guide others without direct authority.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, adept at handling multiple priorities.
- Commitment to high standards of quality and compliance.
- Critical thinking and a willingness to challenge norms for positive change.
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative, approachable demeanor focused on building positive relationships.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in fostering a safe workplace.
