OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industries, along with expertise in ERP implementation. As a key member of our executive team, the CFO will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the long-term goals of the company.
- Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Provide recommendations to the CEO and leadership team on growth opportunities, risk management, and capital investments.
- Identify and evaluate potential alternative investments, including real estate or other opportunities to diversify income streams.
- Develop financial models and risk assessments for potential investments and acquisitions.
Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee and optimize cash flow management across multiple entities to ensure liquidity and financial flexibility.
- Develop strategies to manage working capital, improve collections, and maintain a strong cash position.
- Lead initiatives to enhance cash flow forecasting and reporting.
ERP System Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation and integration of an ERP system across the organization.
- Ensure the ERP system aligns with the company’s strategic and financial goals, improving transparency, efficiency, and reporting.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide timely and meaningful financial analysis to senior leadership, including key financial metrics and performance indicators.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to ensure effective execution of financial strategy and operational goals.
- Champion and further develop financial transparency practices that promote employee engagement and understanding of financial performance.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure employees are educated on the financial health of the company and understand their role in driving profitability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and financial literacy throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong ERP implementation experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and management skills.
- Strong background in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
