POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Production Manager will oversee all daily operations from assembly and fabrication to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This role is responsible for developing people and processes that will maximize safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The Senior Production Manager leads the execution of the business strategy to accomplish corporate objectives and plans for a singular facility. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on management to drive excellence throughout operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee facility operations to ensure the safety of our team members at designated facility.
- Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
- Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate, and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
- Monitors daily work operations of facility/organizational unit/designated scope/etc. and provides direction and guidance to lower-level supervisors, experienced exempt employees, or skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
- Interacts with internal customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
- Executes policies that affect processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
- Influences business decisions by recommendation and development of operational policies and procedures that affect personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
- Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc.).
- Monitors internal and external indicators by reviewing reports and newsletters, reading organizational literature, meeting with peers, and reading departmental reports.
- Contributes to the development and monitoring of area/organizational unit budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of people leadership experience.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Track record of success.
- Proven managerial experience.
- Familiarity with the core capabilities of a manufacturing site.
