Provides in-house legal services for management, medical staff, and Board of Summa Health and its subsidiaries at the direction of the Senior Vice President Legal Services. Advises management, medical staff, and Boards regarding a broad variety of legal issues. Assists Senior Management team’s strategic planning initiatives by offering legal analysis and insight; provides legal counsel for managed care contracting and managed care initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
- Doctor of law degree and active membership of the Ohio Bar.
Experience & Training Required:
- Minimum three (3) years experience in the practice of health law including experience in Medicare/Medicaid regulations, reimbursement and compliance issues.

- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to critically analyze situations, issues and transactions.
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
