Overview
The Sr. Manager, NH Build Partner Quality and Training leader is responsible for ensuring all field work performed by a NH build partner meets the quality expectations Sunrun has for its builder customers and partners. They do this by taking their deep knowledge of New Homes construction, combined with their deep knowledge of solar, storage, and related products technical requirements, and collaborate with build partners to ensure their work is set up for success and delivered seamlessly. They serve as the primary field technical expert for the entire New Homes team and support new product introduction for internal, builder, and partner resources. They determine the specific technical scope of builders vs. install partners vs. Sunrun and ensure our various SOW docs reflect these requirements. They perform field based training to IP crews on a regular basis, with subject matter specifically crafted for each partner based on the results of quality audits.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary NH technical resource for all things field and product related; regularly supports other functions (sales, field, project ops, care, etc.) in providing technical expertise to develop processes and ensure products selected and implemented in an optimal way.
- Develops detailed SOW for all build partners to follow for solar, storage and other products; supports contract negotiations with partners.
- Provide detailed quarterly quality audit results to each build partner, highlighting areas for improvement and collaborating on training and corrective actions needed to ensure successful installs going forward.
- Supports in-field installations for new products, builds expertise within the Sunrun field team to effectively supervise installation of new products in a new home construction environment at scale.
- Develops mechanisms to hold build partners accountable for quality and timely delivery of work.
- Collaborates with care leader to ensure any notice to correct cases are actioned quickly.
- Leads coordination of field and operational support for new markets, ensuring that unique technical requirements of new jurisdictions are understood and accounted for as we begin to install for new home builders outside of California at scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10+ years professional experience.
- 10+ years professional experience in the New Home Construction Field space.
- 5+ years of experience with leveraging quality audit review results into training for partners to improve their delivered performance.
- 10+ years experience & deep technical understanding and experience with PV, storage, mounting hardware, monitoring, and all related products.
- 10+ years experience working with both builders and their trade partners in the solar/storage space.
- Strong organizational and project management experience to support rest of country expansion and managing various internal and partner/builder facing work streams.
Physical Demands
- Remote work acceptable.
- Up to 40% travel.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $87,573.94 to $116,765.25.
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
