Marsh’s Advisory Claims Solutions group steps in to work with your team, enhancing specialization and increasing your capacity in a time of need. We proactively identify and advocate to improve claim outcomes, working closely with your business and insurers.
This role will be responsible for providing claim advocacy client services independently or in combination with others to ensure the most equitable return on the client’s insurance investment, while minimizing the impact of adverse events on their business. Frequently involved in the more complex client engagements and issues.
Senior Consultant - Claims Advocacy
What can you expect?
- Evaluates coverage applicability on all Marsh placed business
- Assists client in the development of settlement strategies
- Assists client with insurer negotiations including coverage advocacy
- Assist client with litigation management issues that impact claim settlements
- Facilitates the establishment of clients loss handling instructions with claim administrator
- Executes claim notices to appropriate carriers as directed in Client Service Agreement/Letter of Engagement
- Guidance to clients in direct reporting of routine primary casualty claims to insurers
- Participate in catastrophic claim response as needed

We will count on you to:
- Facilitate claim reviews and contribute to same with in-depth claim knowledge to help expedite resolution of claims with the utilization of the Blue (i) claim review tool.
- Oversight of claims processes to ensure appropriate and timely processing of payments by the carrier or third-party administrator.
- Liaison to Advisory Solutions services
- Assists Advisory Solutions in articulating their value proposition both internally and externally.
- Assists brokerage with policy wording review and assist in developing appropriate policy language to address client risk issues.
- Provide support to Placement and Client Teams for the claim administration portion of the renewal process.
- Understands insurance program structures as they relate to the claim process and assist Brokerage in renewal and LOC management.
- Competent in use of insurer on-line claim management system for claim evaluation and report creation.
- Reporting of claims using CRU Unit and mClaim in compliance with Marsh’s Professional Standards.
What you need to have:
- Five to Ten years of relevant claim technical experience
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in required specialty
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

- Ten to Fifteen years of relevant claim technical experience

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $77,700 to $165,700. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
