Job Title: BXMA Multi-Strategy Platform – Equity Vice President
Job Description:
BXMA’s Multi-Strategy Platform operates with an unconstrained mandate investing across the capital structure in liquid equity and credit, private credit, and other structured investments.
This role offers the opportunity to analyze and evaluate potential liquid equity investments as well as interface with colleagues across the globe to gather information, compare sector views, and increase underwriting conviction. Our investment process combines the public market and financial analysis characteristic of hedge fund investing with the institutional expertise of a premier global alternative investment organization.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Working with the investment team to source and perform due diligence on prospective investments.
- Thinking critically and identifying key themes in your sector to screen for attractive investment ideas.
- Monitoring existing positions, themes, and exposures in the portfolio and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis.
- Recommending position sizes and constantly searching for ways to optimize risk/reward among your positions in the book.
- Thinking creatively about ways to leverage the firm’s expertise to enhance the team’s existing due diligence process, helping ensure quality, differentiation, and thoroughness in the approach.
- Prepare investment recommendations and detailed data analyses/models for the investment team.
- Opportunity to pursue other asset classes as market conditions present opportunities across your sector.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
- 7+ years’ experience, including 3+ years buyside equity experience; preference for experience in consumer and healthcare.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Ability to source and present potential investment ideas in a clear, collaborative, and concise manner.
- Rigorous due diligence process and desire to be an expert in your sector.
- Established sell side and buy side relationships within consumer and healthcare services.
- A passion for equity markets and an understanding of different approaches within the asset class.
- Strong communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to write and present effectively.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- An ability to manage ad hoc projects independently and to completion.
- Undergraduate degree is required.

Expected annual base salary range:
$185,000 - $225,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
