We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
OVERVIEW
The Tax Sr. Manager will have leadership responsibility for the Company's compliance with the IFRS reporting and U.S. tax compliance requirements. This role will be involved with all aspects of the quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provision, including US Domestic, US International, and NonUS statutory provision calculations, establishing and maintaining tax policy for financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards and providing technical guidance and training, as well as preparing/reviewing results to ensure proper adherence to policy. This role will have responsibilities aligned with US Domestic Tax and Int'l tax teams, including but not limited to, assistance with income tax compliance, mergers & acquisitions and Tax Department risk management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation and review of legal entity and consolidated income tax provisions, deferred tax assets/liabilities and income tax payables, and effective tax rate reconciliations
- Preparation and review of uncertain tax positions
- Preparation and review of various financial statement reports and disclosures as required to meet IFRS reporting standards to support corporate reporting of the Japanese parent company.
- Responsible for establishing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with the internal control processes and procedures in accordance with J-SOX requirements
- Working closely with Controllership and Business Finance teams to understand operational results and advising on tax accounting matters
- Training of key personnel supporting the global tax provision preparation on tax accounting principles and U.S. income tax compliance
- Preparation and/or review of U.S. returns, including federal, U.S. international and state. This includes the preparation and/or review of book and tax reporting differences
- Participate in various tax planning activities and research including complex income tax accounting issues
- Assistance with mergers and acquisitions and purchase price allocations
- Participate in and support income tax compliance and Risk Management
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- CPA and/or Master of Taxation are preferred.
- 7-10 years' experience in large corporate tax environments, mix of industry and public accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, corporate tax law and Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel and Alteryx.
- Knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax software
- The ability to manage multiple, large projects/processes.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
- Detail oriented; strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills; solid team player.
- Strong ability to establish interpersonal relationship with all levels in a multicultural environment.
