About the Role
Wellfit Technologies is seeking a seasoned and visionary Software Architect Director to oversee and manage our team of Architects. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the architectural strategy across our products and platforms, ensuring that our technical vision aligns with our business objectives. Reporting directly to the CTO, the Software Architect Director will be responsible for guiding the architecture team, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful execution of complex technical projects. This role will also influence and contribute to the overarching architectural strategy across the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Directly manage and mentor the team of Architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Lead and set the strategic direction for the architecture team, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term technology vision.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to define and execute the company’s technology strategy, aligning it with business goals.
- Ensure that architectural decisions are consistent across all products and platforms, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalations related to architectural decisions and issues.
- Technical Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Wellfit's tech stack, including Azure, .NET, Jira, Confluence, Docker, Kubernetes, Dynamics, and other key technologies.
- Drive and oversee the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring that the architecture team remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
- Ensure the architecture team delivers high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct high-level architectural reviews and provide final approval on major architectural decisions.
- Oversee the creation of technical documentation, including architectural blueprints, design patterns, and guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product Management, Development, QA, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between architecture, development, and business needs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align architectural decisions with business objectives and long-term company strategy.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Mentorship and Development:
- Mentor architects in the team, providing guidance on both technical and professional development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the architecture team.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to enhance the overall technical capabilities of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role managing architects or senior technical staff.
- Proven track record of leading architectural initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, preferably within the Fintech industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in cloud architectures, particularly Azure, and familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of .NET framework, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level software development.
- Experience with DevOps practices, automated testing frameworks, and security compliance (e.g., SOC 2).
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of highly skilled architects.
- Proven strategic leadership abilities, with experience guiding architectural initiatives at the enterprise level.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce automation (Dynamics), QA automation (Selenium), and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of payment processing and IT security best practices.
- Prior experience in a rapidly growing tech company with a focus on innovation and operational excellence.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
