Responsibilities:
- Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Managing day-to-day accounting functions, including processing invoices.
- Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
- Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Creating budgets.
- Overseeing and supervising the finance department.
- Ensuring the financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations.
- Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Developing effective strategies for managing the company’s finances.
- Coordinating documentation for taxes.
- Analyzing the Company’s financial statements.
- Preparing monthly and annual financial plans for the CEO.
- Creating strategies to reduce costs and increase revenue.
- Implementing the company's broader financial strategy.
- Maintaining full transparency regarding the company’s financial performance.
- Prepares business management proposals for new business.
- Prepares the preparation of earnings, dividend, and other financial reports for the Company.
- Analyzes profitability trends and reviews results with the Board of Directors.
- Establishes and implements operating procedures to ensure proper internal controls in accounting-related areas.
- Safeguards information for future audits.
- Providing timely financial information to senior leaders.
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Compares profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required. Experience working with government contracts desired.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
