Job Brief
We are seeking a Vice President for Supportive Housing and Services to join our team. Reporting to the President/Chief Executive Officer, the right candidate will oversee the Agency’s efforts to provide housing and rehousing solutions.
Shift Worked: 9AM - 5PM (M-F)
Weekly Hours: 37.5
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay range: $100,000 - $115,000
Constructive Partnerships (CP) Unlimited is a leading non-profit provider of residential, day habilitation, Article 16, and clinical health services and supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New York City, Nassau County, and Hudson Valley. This is a time of growth at CP Unlimited, and we have expanded our constituency to include housing migrants at a Sanctuary Site in Brooklyn and exploring other Supportive Housing.
In this very strategic role, the VP of Supportive Housing and Services will lead the strategic and operational projects and service delivery to achieve desirable outcomes in accordance with the Agency’s mission, vision and values. Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Position Duties:
- Developing and implementing an overall written strategy for supportive housing and services in accordance with the Agency’s strategic plan
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure supportive housing and services are aligned with other programs (migrant housing) with the goal of streamlining
- Designing and expanding housing initiatives in accordance with regulatory and funding requirements
- Seeking internal and external stakeholders to obtain funding, manage vendor and contractor relationships
- Representing the Agency in public forums, including the government agencies and various communities to build and maintain relationships
- Implementing policies and procedures to mitigate risks and sustain program integrity, including ensuring records are generated and stored in accordance with Agency policies and regulatory standards
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards under the law, including fair housing laws
- Participating in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and any other agency-wide practices designed to promote desired client outcomes
- Ensuring safety for all environments within areas of accountability
- Partnering with other agencies and developing methods of inter-agency collaboration inclusive of other human services providers
- Collaborating with the Finance Department to manage budget to ensure accountability and sustainability
REQUIREMENTS:
- A master’s degree in social work or related field is required, coupled with a minimum of 10 years’ directly related experience in a leadership role.
- Candidates must have experience working with the Department of Homeless Services (DHS), Supportive Housing or within a Youth Residential Program. Demonstrated leadership and management skills that inspire and motivate are essential for success in this role.
- Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong project management and organizational knowledge.
- The ability to think critically and be solutions oriented with strong de-escalation and crisis management skills are a must.
- Proficiency navigating portals for CARES and HRA and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Candidates must have the ability to travel within all five (5) boroughs.
