Tax Director
The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director to join our Global Tax Services team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal & international tax compliance, ASC 740 reporting, and the management of global tax services initiatives.
This role will involve leading substantial client engagements, driving the implementation of tax technology, managing complex tax projects across various industries, and adopting a consultative and client solution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management:
Oversee a portfolio of clients focusing on international tax compliance and consulting services.
Manage client work valued at around $1M, with responsibility for expanding annual sales.
Build strong client relationships, offering strategic tax advice with a solution-driven mindset.
Advise clients on U.S. and international tax developments affecting their business.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with U.S. international tax regulations for both inbound and outbound companies.
Manage international tax filings, including forms such as 1042, 1118, 5471, and 8990, 8992 and 8993.
Oversee FATCA compliance, including the review of withholding tax forms.
Lead the preparation and review of ASC 740 reporting, including consolidation of global subsidiaries.
- Advisory:
Provide analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring transactions.
Conduct withholding tax and treaty analysis for international transactions.
Research complex international tax issues and draft tax memos and opinions.
Represent clients in IRS audits and manage responses to IRS notices.
- Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of professionals, supporting their growth and development.
Collaborate with global finance leaders to ensure cohesive tax strategies.
- Business Development and Marketing:
Assist with the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives, including client outreach, proposal preparation, attending & conducting webinars / seminars, and supporting strategic growth efforts.

The Person
A minimum of 10 years of experience in international tax compliance/ advisory and ASC 740.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing client portfolios.
Proficient in tax software, with excellent communication skills.
A CPA qualification is required, and a Master of Taxation is preferred.
