We are seeking an industry experienced and visionary Director of System Architecture that leads design and engineering teams with implementation and optimization of future systems, ensuring margin and functionality to ensure on time deployment and adaption of Micron DRAM product portfolio. This role involves coordinating the planning and implementation process, leading teams, and promoting collaboration between internal teams and key enablers to develop scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the system architecture design and DRAM engineering team to help CPU integration in both server and client environments.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure sufficient data eye margin and robust architecture.
- Focus on DRAM design to ensure quick CPU adoption and improve overall system performance.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and software, to improve system performance and reliability.
- Work closely with chipset enablers to drive future technology and pathfinding.
- Help drive innovation in DRAM and CPU design, staying ahead of industry trends and new technologies.
- Stay in tune with architectural specifications, design guidelines, and standard methodologies.
- Conduct thorough analysis and validation of system performance, identifying and addressing potential future issues.
- Mentor and guide a team of architects and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers and enablers to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and technical forums.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in system architecture, with a focus on DRAM and CPU design.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering high-quality results.
- Deep understanding of DRAM technology, CPU architecture, and system-level design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with industry-standard tools and methodologies for system design and validation.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in memory and processor design.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$204,000.00 - $396,500.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
