We are a CMMI and ISO certified organization with expertise in areas such as Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Application Development and Modernization and Administrative Support Services as well as emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Block Chain.
Our Client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support various IRS contracts. This subject matter expert will be the technical lead on an agile team, including refining requirements, researching options, designing the solution, and verifying the technical implementation against the design. This position requires self-motivation and expertise, as well as the ability to learn a new business process, create a new product to implement the process, think outside of the box, and abide by security and confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.
- Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly.
- Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments.
- Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope.
- Champions a structured approach to business application solutions.
- Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
- Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
- Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives.
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
- Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution.
- Work with Operations and Business Development personnel to understand customer needs and lead the development of compelling solutions to those needs.
- Review business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution to bring these solutions forward through white papers, presentations, and proposal responses.
Skills and Experience
- Clearance: No clearance needed to start, must be eligible for Public Trust.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns to design effective solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to analyze complex business requirements and identify suitable technology solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders, developers, and IT professionals.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for effective project coordination.
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality, performance, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in at least three of the following areas, with expertise in at least one: Networking, System Development, Software/Application Development, Hardware Engineering, Operations, System Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Information Assurance/Cyber Security, ITIL Framework, and Agile Development.
- Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity stacks; preference for CISSP and PMP certification.
- Ability to partner effectively with cybersecurity management to apply best practices in designs and solutions.
- Skill in producing and driving architecture roadmaps and associated principles.
- Participation in innovation activities, including ideation, prototype development, and application evaluations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, and leadership.
- Ability to produce clear documentation for both technical and business audiences.
- Web Server Administration experience using IIS, Wildfly, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Broad knowledge of business continuity, including high availability, disaster recovery, and risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
