SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the fiscal health of the company. They will direct the financial functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the manufacturing industry. As such, they are the main person responsible for banking relationships, performing due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or public offerings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's finance function and its performance
- Participates in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action
- Develops credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and senior management in performing their responsibilities
- Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation
- Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with Senior Management as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
- Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
- Provides continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets
- Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and investments
- Partners with CEO to develop and execute the company’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy, identifying potential target companies that align with organizational goals.
- Oversees the due diligence processes associated with M&A, coordinating with finance, hr, legal, and operational teams to assess risks and liabilities
- Negotiate terms and conditions of M&A deals, working with legal advisors to draft and finalize agreements.
- Oversee banking and investor relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
- Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
- Advises, from the financial perspective, on any contracts into which the Corporation may enter
- Develop and implement the company’s investor relations plans, strategies, and programs.
- Develops a targeting strategy for prospective investors; and establishes close relationships with key investors and analysts.
- Evaluates finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals
- Perform all normal supervisory functions, to include hiring, training, appraisal, counseling, and discipline
- Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum ten years of related experience, at least five years of recent manufacturing experience required
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to analyze and reconcile detailed information
- Management of very diverse domestic and international communication requires excellent verbal and listening skills
- An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Ability to travel (up to 10%) domestically and internationally
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working within established deadlines
- A well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The normal work environment is typical of a business office
- The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, touch, see, and hear.
