JOB DESCRIPTION
The Complex Assets Product team sits within Investment Middle Office Services and is responsible for end-to-end processing of Complex Assets such as derivatives and bank loans. This includes: trade capture, confirmation management, lifecycle management, independent valuations, bilateral settlement management, reconciliations and collateral management. It is not a standalone product, rather this specialist team supports Middle Office, Collateral Management and Fund Accounting businesses to deliver our clients an integrated and efficient operating model.
Position Description
As the Complex Assets Product Manager, for the Security Services group, you will report to the Global Head of Complex Assets Product, as the WHEM regional lead.
In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of product management functions including, but not limited to sales/RFI/RFP support, defining the product offering, presenting the product offering to clients and partnering with internal stakeholders. You are expected to be an SME, utilizing your deep understanding of how Complex Assets are processed across Middle Office, Collateral Management and Fund Accounting to proactively drive operational standards and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience/close product gaps.

Job responsibilities
- Partner with Global head and other Product Executives to develop Complex Assets product definitions & strategy
- Present product offering to clients alongside Fund Accounting, Middle Office and Collateral Management
- Serve as primary product liaison in region, responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders across product management, product development, operations, client services and sales
- Develop and manage sales literature and design client service education programs to ensure sales person/client service competency in Complex Assets product offering
- Support RFI/RFP participation and responses
- Manage Deal Pricing, contract review, and profitability summaries for RFPs and Organic Growth
- Design appropriate oversight of applicable regulations and incorporate regulatory change into product offerings / solutions
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve cross-product operating models
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management
- Securities industry experience required, in middle office or back office operations of an asset manager or financial services firm preferred; Strong technical understanding of the investment company industry
- Strong knowledge of Derivatives including OTCs, CFDs, FX, ETDs. Other complex assets is an advantage
- Client facing experience is required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information, both oral and written, in a concise and informative manner
- Strong interpersonal skills including organization influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and with external clients
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development and requirements definition
- Strong prioritization skills and an ability to deliver under pressure
- Understanding of cost and pricing methodologies for the purpose of evaluating new business
- Professional and proactive approach to work, problem solver, politely impatient, persistent individual
