Join us to lead the strategic development of Global Governance’s remediation program. The Lead Counsel for Remediation plays a critical role in mitigating risk, as well as partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to help promote and support an effective governance program.
You will make an impact by...
- Leading the team in developing and refining remediation strategy and processes.
- Overseeing a team of remediation directors who develop remediation plans for ethics investigations, outside counsel reviews, risk assessment findings, and external commitments, among others.
- Leading the remediation in some of the most significant ethics investigations, risk assessment action plans, and external commitments.
- Analyzing and integrating trends and patterns to determine the root causes of problems and identify solutions.
- Escalating concerns based on risk to the company and recommending a plan of action for resolution to mitigate risk.
- Leading Walmart’s global regulatory contacts program, which includes tracking, reporting, and data analysis of government contacts Walmart receives.
- Providing department direction by analyzing business objectives, customer needs, and risk priorities.
- Overseeing the development of and timely execution of remediation plans to correct process gaps and deficiencies.
- Preparing remediation reports and presentations for leadership, communicating risks and advising of plans to mitigate or eliminate systemic, complex or emerging risks.
- Engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate remediation plans.
- Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
Minimum Qualifications...
Law degree from an accredited law school and 6 years’ experience in law.
License to practice law in at least one state.
2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
