Height Capital Markets is an investment bank with headquarters in Washington, DC, providing specialized policy and regulatory research. Height is seeking a Vice President/Financial Policy Analyst to join our research team. The ideal candidate has:
- 2-5 years of experience in banking policy or regulation including Congress or the executive agencies
- Knowledge of legislation and policy related to financial institutions, banking, and capital markets and familiarity with relevant Congressional committees and regulatory bodies including CFPB, SEC, FDIC, CFTC, FHFA, etc.
- Strong relationships in Washington’s policy, legal, or political communities, especially related to financial services and regulatory matters
- Experience working in markets including a Series 7 or other FINRA registrations is a major plus
- Can quickly digest and offer intelligent analysis of ongoing developments and new information
- Has above-average writing and communication skills
- Is a team-oriented individual who can take ownership of their work product

- GSE’s (Fannie/Freddie)
- CFPB Policy (overdraft fees)
- Consumer Lending (Student/Payday/Auto/Personal Loans)
- Mortgage Finance (mortgage servicers, housing finance reform, mortgage insurance, etc.)

- Regional/Community Banks
- Cannabis Banking
- Crypto
- Tax & Trade
The Financial Policy Analyst will work directly with and be able to learn from Height’s Director of Research. The Analyst will conduct open-source research, provide written policy updates and analysis, attend hearings and events, and eventually interact with clients on a regular basis. This position is ideal for someone with a policy or quantitative background looking to strengthen their analytical skill set.
Salary and Benefits
- $85,000-$140,000 annual salary plus bonus, depending on candidate experience
