Operations Manager
The Operations Manager will oversee management, strategic planning, and leadership aspects of our organization at the Comfort Inn in Wethersfield, CT. The hotel serves the local community and is an integral part of the local fabric.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Choice Advantage check-in software or similar PMS software experience – Minimum 5 years
- Okta or similar software experience – Minimum 5 years
- Operations Manager Experience – Minimum 5 years
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience with Google Drive
- OTA – Booking.com/Expedia Software experience – Minimum 5 years
- Proficient in English
- Willing to work varied hours if required
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and fire hotel staff as required.
- Onboard staff onto the platform and orient them to their respective tasks.
- Adhere to all company and brand standards.
- Finalize the PIP assigned for the hotel with the maintenance team.
- Reply to all hotel reviews.
- Check hotel rates three times a day.
- Ensure all equipment is regularly serviced and repaired as needed.
- Coordinate with the Directors regarding any expense that exceeds $2000.
- Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, and front office departments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city laws; renew licenses as required.
- Complete biweekly payroll in coordination with the HR team.
- Attend revenue management calls biweekly and ensure all rate plans are monitored.
- Inspect the hotel regularly for pests and other issues affecting guest experience.
- Identify opportunities to increase business.
- Learn about local business drivers and actively seek those business accounts.
- Minimize expenses and stay within the allocated budget given by company Directors; major decisions require approval.
- Visit the Directors every month in Delaware; willing to drive down or use other means of transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
