Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive foot and ankle examinations to diagnose a wide range of conditions - from bunions to diabetic foot ulcers
- Develop tailored treatment plans ranging from conservative therapies to surgical interventions
- Perform in-office procedures including wound care, casting, and surgeries
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays and MRIs
- Provide patient education on proper foot care, preventative measures, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records
- Stay current with the latest advancements in podiatric medicine and surgical techniques
What must a candidate have?
- You hold a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
- You are licensed to practice podiatry in the state of Maryland, Pennsylvania, or Washington DC (or able to obtain licensure before starting)
- Ideally, you have completed a 3-year residency or have equivalent clinical experience
- You possess exceptional clinical skills and a strong foundation in podiatric medicine and surgery
- Experience in diabetic wound care
- You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to easily build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- You have a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- You're a team player with strong collaboration abilities
- You demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
