VenElite is seeking strategic Advisory Board Members (FinTech / WealthTech) to help shape the future of venture investing. Ideal candidates already have experience in angel investing, venture capital, or family office funds. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence high-level business strategy and be part of a rapidly scaling company with a significant national market presence and ambition to go global.
Who we are
VenElite is a membership-based VC community of accredited investors that allows its members to invest in top-performing venture capital funds at low minimums. Investing in VC funds is typically open to institutional investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. The company aims to democratize access to VC fund investments to all accredited investors. The VC investor community members contribute their time and effort to source, vet, and participate in due diligence and investment opportunities for VC fund investment.
About the role
We seek experienced and strategic Board Advisors specializing in the FinTech / WealthTech vertical to join us. As a Board Advisor, you will provide specialized guidance and strategic direction to the company's leadership team and board of directors. Leveraging your expertise and network, you will help drive the company's growth, the growth of our VC fund investments, and success in this dynamic and rapidly evolving industry. This position is particularly suited to individuals involved in venture capital or family office funds, as it offers the potential for strategic and financial involvement. Your expertise will help guide the company’s direction, including market expansion, investment strategies, and operational optimization.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized and strategic advice and guidance to the company's leadership team and board of directors within the FinTech / WealthTech verticals.
- Use in-depth knowledge of FinTech/WealthTech trends and advancements to identify and capitalize on opportunities for VC fund investments.
- Leverage industry relationships to facilitate VC fund and co-investment opportunities.
- Offer insights and perspectives on emerging technologies, the competitive landscape, and best practices to inform the company’s strategic decision-making within FinTech/WealthTech.
- Participate in webinars, podcasts, and other forms of engagement to share insights on emerging technologies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and key executives, offering mentorship and support within the FinTech / WealthTech domain.
- Assist in sourcing and vetting venture capital fund opportunities.
- Assist in evaluating VC fund managers and their ability to execute their investment thesis.
- Advise on the long-term growth strategy, focusing on maximizing ROI and company valuation.
What We’re Looking For
- Active involvement in venture capital or family office funds with FinTech / WealthTech domain expertise.
- Proven experience advising or investing in fast-scaling companies.
- Deep understanding of the venture capital ecosystem.
- Ability to offer financial, strategic, and operational guidance to drive long-term growth.
- Strong network in the investment community, with the ability to introduce potential investors or strategic partners.
- A passion for FinTech/WealthTech tech and a desire to be involved in a company’s efforts to bring the best VC funds and co-investment opportunities to our members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scaling FinTech/WealthTech companies.
- Involvement in high-growth ventures in a senior leadership or advisory role, with a track record of delivering returns for investors.
- Prior experience with companies that have raised significant venture capital or private equity investments.
- Strong connections with VC funds, family offices, or institutional investors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders within the FinTech/WealthTech industry.
- Accredited investor status is a must.
- Experience in angel investing or other alternatives (i.e., real estate, private equity) is a plus.
