Key Responsibilities
- This position will slowly grow to encompass oversight of the two accounting/HR/admin departments.
- Ensure the department is meeting the needs of operations and ownership.
- Foster a sense of teamwork and team values that are aligned with Scrivanich company values, both within the accounting department and between the accounting department and others.
- Learn the operations of each industry to be able to best support these relationships.
- Hire, train, and terminate positions within the department. Help employees meet their career goals.
- Take responsibility for the overall profitability of the Scrivanich portfolio as a whole.
- Implement and/or maintain budgets in each sector.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making. Evaluate financial performance, trends, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow and approve outgoing payments.
- Take a critical but balanced and realistic approach to spending, aligned with the goals of ownership.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business cases.
- Help with operational planning to support ownership’s financial goals.
- Manage financing and obtain new financing.
- Manage banking, insurance, and external federal tax team relationships.
- Manage the company-wide 401k and healthcare benefits plans.
- Mitigate financial risk by implementing and maintaining security controls and ensuring proper insurance coverage.
- Take responsibility for compliance with regulations and policies by working closely with the leadership management team to ensure policies are enforced in each sector.
- Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders orally, in writing, and via reports provided at regular intervals.
- Help with projects such as new acquisitions, company restructuring, and mergers.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing maintenance of financial software, including planning and overseeing the migration from Netsuite to a new financial system.
- Make recommendations on the choice of new financial software systems and maintain existing systems such as our payroll system and bill approval system.
Qualifications Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- CPA certification required.
Experience
- Proven 5 or more years’ experience in an Accounting Manager, Director, Controller, or other financial executive role.
- No previous CFO experience required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience in financial software or ERP implementation and data migration.

- Proficiency with office software, including Google Workspace, MS 365, payroll, timekeeping, and ERP systems.

Employment Details
Wage Range/Class: Salaried/Exempt
Reports To: Owner
Supervises: Accounting Department
Status: Full-Time, Year-Round. Be prepared for some overtime during busy financial periods.
Salary: $150,000-$175,000 per year
