Job Summary
The Vice President of Information Management/Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimization of Lindenwood University's management of administrative and academic information.
Essential Job Functions
- Information Management: Promote data governance and coordinate an institutional data fabric across databases.
- Process Improvement: Optimize institutional processes and manage information management projects.
- Communications and Collaboration: Provide clear communication and maintain a high-quality workplace experience.
- Actionable Analytics: Support data-driven decision making via reliable metrics and dashboards.
- Control the Information Environment: Ensure effective identity verification, access management, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Knowledge Management: Promote effective management of academic information and support tools for faculty and student content creation.
- Improve Student Skills and Competencies: Ensure effective use of LMS, SIS, and related systems.
- Academic Communications and Partnerships: Ensure effective communications and partnerships between stakeholders.
- Effective Student Assessment: Automate the comparison of student skills to employer demand.
- Optimize the Learning Environment: Provide flexible learning spaces that support learner needs.
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an executive leadership role.
- Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior IT role preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale IT projects and digital innovation initiatives.
- Experience in leveraging data analytics to drive organizational improvements.
- Proven track record in resolving critical IT issues and improving system performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies in higher education IT.
- Proactive and results-driven approach to IT management.
Work Environment
- General office setting.

- Ability to work effectively at a computer for extended time daily.
